I entered with a folded green environmental shopping bag pinned under my arm. Exactly as I entered, the security guard stopped me and told me to go to the baggage deposit counter.
I wondered why he was referring me there, and soon I found out.
The stupid guy behind the counter told me that environmental shopping bags are not allowed in their store.

ENVIRONMENTAL BAGS— NOT ALLOWED IN THEIR GROCERY STORE.

I asked him why and told him that I need that bag because I didn’t want to use a plastic bag since those bags pollute the environment because they are virtually useless after purchase since they just get thrown away and they clog the drainages, which is why it always floods in Pacita. I also told them that I had already shopped there before using those bags. But the guy was adamant and said “Basta hindi pwede yan dito” which basically means “That just isn’t allowed here.”

I proceeded to tell him that it was weird since every other grocery store didn’t have a problem with me using those bags.

Still they didn’t listen. They wanted me to leave the bag in their baggage deposit counter and use their plastic bags instead.

That was when I told them to just hand me back my bag and I would not shop in their store anymore. I told them “Akin na lang yung bag ko, hindi na lang ako mamimili dito. Hindi ko gusto ang ganito.”
Roughly translates to: “Just give me back my bag, I won’t buy here anymore. I don’t like your rules.”
Then I left and shopped in a different store instead.

The security guard, the personnel who was cleaning the floor and the baggage counter dude were all idiots. They were the ones convincing me to not use the bag.
And I was also pretty dim… I should have demanded the management and asked them WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE AGAINST THESE ENVIRONMENTAL SHOPPING BAGS ASSHOLES?!
But no I didn’t.

What a big mistake. I should have done that.

And you know, I shopped in a different grocery store; Mightee Mart. The guy who was packing the stuff I purchased in that shop was happy that I brought a bag of my own and he even said “This is nice. Every shopper should have this so we don’t need to waste plastics anymore.”

He really made my day. What a contrast to those fucking morons I spoke to earlier.

I like Robinsons, but I am really pissed at their fucktard employees. I think the next time I go there, I will complain about their great “POLICIES”.

Only in the Philippines will you find almighty grocery stores which are against recycling and saving the environment. And then they will cry when it floods.
I hope that those people who didn’t want me to use that bag will drown in dirty floodwater the next time it rains.
